In the 56-year history of the GRAMMY Awards, Wonder is the only artist to have received Album of the Year honors in three out of four consecutive years with Innervisions, Fulfillingness' First Finale, and the seminal Songs in the Key of Life. With a catalog that is one of the richest treasure troves in American music, his songs are still revered and influential today and his longevity as one of America's — and the world's — most respected and beloved artists is well earned.

A simple offer of legal advice turns into the biggest challenge of Claire Darrow’s legal career when her new beau, D.A. Miles Strasberg, introduces her to his younger half-sister, Phoebe, a singer fresh off her first album. Following a legal dispute between the two, Phoebe's producer ends up dead and all signs point to Phoebe. Claire is the only one Miles trusts to uncover the truth and save his sister.

Through filming my personal spaces and experiences of the world, I attempt to deal with a period of personal crisis. Although the images relate to personal circumstance indirectly, they are driven by an intense inward reflection, present in the image as an emotional energy. The act of filming reflects my experience of loss and at the same time is an attempt to ground the self in the world once more. The emblem of shadows recurs and points towards the heart of the film's journey - attempting to uncover one's inner darkness, in order to go forwards. The dark passages in the film are a result of dealing with a large amount of “fogged” camera material by bleaching and inverting it. The sequence order of both image and sound are composed entirely by chance.
